The goal was to convince Star Wars Episode VII director JJ Abrams to remain faithful to the aesthetic of the original films. The video gained a quarter of a million views within 48 hours of release and over a million views total–all organic. It's success drove new business to Sincerely Truman, and earned the video articles by numerous national press sources, including iO9, the LA Times, The Denver Post, Mashable, Devour, Adweek, CNET, and on MSNBC and NPR, among others.
The cherry on top was a personal phone call from Star Wars Director J.J. Abrams himself to thank and congratulate me for a thoughtful, powerful video that resonated with him, and a note promising to adhere to the rules.
